Aiden
Watching that motherfucker die by the hands of his own son gave me pure satisfaction. I wanted to be the one to end his life, but it would only be right for someone close to him to do it. Honestly, I thought Akeena would've done it being that she heard everything and came down with the gun pointed at him. I understood why she didn't, too. To have a man you known all your life raise and protect you only to find out, not only that he had another child, but was also seeing him choke your mother, was a lot to handle. I sat there watching some men come in and remove the body of him and his security who we ended up having to kill. They started shooting when Steel shot Ahmad.
"Are you going to be ok?" Steel asked the two of them.
"Yea, but I don't want to stay here anymore." She glanced at her mom, who was still trying to catch her breath from her dad choking her.
âItâs fine; we can go to a hotel or something.â Pops said and helped Afeena off the floor. Afeena didnât want to have any more memories of the house so she asked the security dude who guarded her to put it up for sale.
âIs everything ok over there?â Arizona asked, when I answered the phone. I was talking to her when we heard Ahmad downstairs yelling.
âYea, we good. Everything is over, and I should be home soon.â
âOk. Aiden, do you trust me?â I pulled the phone away from my ear and stared at it like she asked me a foreign question.
âYes. Why are you asking me that?â
âAiden, youâve done a lot of things, and Iâve stayed by your side through it all.â
âI know, Ari. You showed me plenty of times that you were down to ride for a boss.â
âOk, well thereâs two things I need you to do.â I ran my hand over my face not ready to hear what she was about to ask.
âIâm not signing any divorce papers. Til death do us part baby.â She snickered in the phone like a teenager.
âThe first thing I need you to do is, when you come back, do not, and I mean do not come over to my house.â
âWHAT? Hell no. My son is there, and youâre pregnant again.â
âAiden, calm the fuck down.â I really had to catch myself. This bossing up shit she been doing started irking the hell out of me. Never in all my years has a woman come out of her face at me, nor did she make me beg her. Ari had me doing things out of character, and I didnât like it one bit. It made me feel like she didnât respect me as the man in the relationship.
âAri, who are you talking to?â
âListen, Aiden. Iâm tired of being that weak bitch that wouldnât stand up for herself. Another woman wouldâve left your ass a long time ago. The only reason I havenât is because I believe you would kill me if I did.
